Services for enrolled participants usually begin following promotion from the 8th grade (or earlier) and continue through high school graduation.
Services include:
Guidance and counseling on pre-college academic coursework selections in view of college entrance requirements
Preparation and practice for PSAT/SAT tests at OPP center computer labs assistance with preparation of college essays, scholarship applications, and letters

Financial planning workshops for youth and families assistance with FAFSA applications
College campus tours to area colleges – quarterly
Guidance on post-secondary options such as trade schools and vocational programs
Verification and tracking of student academic performance in cooperation with Hartford Public Schools, youth and parents
Year round services that interface with Hartford Public School career and guidance services
