Computers Like New (COMPUTER REPAIR)

What a rewarding experience: taking an old run-down computer, finding what’s broken, refurbishing the hardware and making the machine run like new; or how about repairing PCs that can be used to help other community-based organizations. That’s exactly what Computers Like New is doing!
Computers Like New gives youth between the ages of 14 and 18 practical instruction and hands-on experience in the area of computer repair and refurbishing with the goal of getting each student professionally certified. Students learn about networking, hardware and software, and trouble shooting.Instruction begins with basic terminology and culminates with students learning how to reconstruct and repair computer hardware. The program aims to allow students to create and maintain their own help desk business and find a position in the computer repair field.
Computers Like New also teaches basic business and marketing skills allowing participants to properly promote the skills they’ve acquired, skills that can be applied to almost any field.
